ACTION ITEMS FOR STUDENTS:
- E-mail your speaker and LIVE OUT LOUD with thoughts on today's presentation
- Chose an LGBT subject or person as the focus of your next report or project
- Collaborate with different groups in your high school to create an event to celebrate LGBT PRIDE month
- Volunteer with a local LGBT organization
- Invite another LGBT alumni and/or professionals to speak at your school
- Ask a teacher to integrate a section on LGBT Rights/History/Literature into the class curriculum
- Have a fundraiser at your school for an LGBT organization (bake sale, car wash, etc...)
- Organize a group to film your own Public Service Announcement around LGBT issues. Send it to LIVE OUT LOUD for potential placement on our website.
- Gift a book, C.D., or just write a note to someone you know is struggling with LGBTQ-related issues and tell them you support them
- Wear a PRIDE bracelet in support of an LGBT friend
- Host a movie night with friends with a LGBT-themed movie
