Serve on the Host Committee
As a Host Committee Member you would lent your name to the event for use on the invitation and program journal. We would ask you commit to purchase at least one ticket at $195.00 or higher level and help sell tickets to friends, colleagues, and family. There’s no set number of tickets you need to sell; we just want everyone to make their greatest effort. We will proved you with invitations that can be mailed to your network and a jpeg which can be emailed. We were proud to recognize couples who have married since last year’s historic marriage equality act in New York, as well as three couples in their golden years who have been together for decades. 2012 scholarship winner Brian Williams expressed his gratitude for everyone’s support, and spoke of the impact that winning Live Out Loud’s $5,000 college scholarship has had on his life. We also heard from NBC meteorologist Raphael Miranda, who described the life-changing experience of sharing his story with youth at his hometown high school for Live Out Loud’s Homecoming Project.

Every year, Live Out Loud conducts dozens of hour-long programs for LGBT youth in classrooms throughout NYC. This academic year, Live Out Loud needs up to 50 LGBT adults to come with us and tell their story to groups of 20 – 25 youth.

On October 20, 2011, Live Out Loud is hosting a Role Model Social – a night of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres – to tell you how you can become a speaker for one of our school programs this fall.

There was much to celebrate at Live Out Loud’s 3rd Annual Pride in the Hamptons this June. In addition to raising over $70,000, news of the passage of the same-sex marriage in New York buzzed amongst guests with more than one couple declaring plans to wed in the future.

Amongst the soon-to-be newlyweds were guests Matt Sullivan and Ken Cro-Ken who announced their upcoming nuptials that evening.
